Making a Difference: Countering the Antisemitic BDS Movement

The antisemitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement has spread across the globe in recent years. It is especially prevalent on university campuses. In Canada, the BDS movement goes beyond politics, impacting the comfort and safety of our university students.

Over the past two years, BDS votes have failed at the University of Toronto (twice), the University of Waterloo, McGill University, the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the University of Winnipeg and the University of Ottawa because of the efforts of invested Jewish students. These positive outcomes are the due to invaluable advocacy training from our national advocacy agent the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs and strong support from campus Hillels.

Learn how CIJA is successfully countering the BDS movement

Thanks to the generosity of Canadian donors, university students are prepared to stand up for their rights on campuses across Canada.
