JFC-UIA is reaching out to you with this emergency appeal because our beloved Israel was attacked and is now in a state of war. Those affected, our Israeli family, have great needs.

Unprovoked, multi-front attacks, surprised the nation on October 7, 2023 and brought traumatizing angst and despair to Israelis who that week commemorated 50 years since the Yom Kippur War.

Jewish Federations of Canada-United Israel Appeal is working with and in close contact with our overseas partners, and we anticipate an unprecedented need for cash to assist victims of terror and their families with their most pressing needs.

Heavy casualties are reported, including the barbaric murder of more 1,400 Israelis. An untold number of Israelis, including women and children, are being held captive by terrorists. Many more have been injured as thousands of terror rocket attacks have been aimed toward civilian population centres all over Israel.

This is a time for unity of the Jewish people in Israel, in our community, across Canada, and around the world. We call on you and all in our community to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel.
