Diane Richler

 

Diane Richler is a Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation International Fellow.   She is former chair of the International Disability Alliance, the worldwide federation of all the major international organizations of people who have a disability and past president of Inclusion International, the global federation of people who have an intellectual disability and their families. She was one of the civil society leaders in the negotiation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

 

Diane was an Erasmus Mundus Visiting Academic of the European Union in inclusive education. She has served as a consultant to governments and the World Bank, UNICEF, UNESCO, and the Organizations for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) among others.  She sits on the International Advisory Board of the Ruderman Foundation and is a member of the Order of Canada.
