Jewish Federations of Canada - UIA and CIJA's statement on the shooting in Jersey City, New Jersey:

Jewish Federations of Canada-UIA and CIJA are immensely saddened by the loss of life and injuries resulting from a deadly shooting at a Jewish grocery store in Jersey City, New Jersey. Among the victims were a veteran police officer and three civilians. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the victims, their families, and the entire community.

While rumours and speculation are beginning to circulate, only the investigation will determine the motive of this heinous crime. Our partners at the Jewish Federations of North America are in direct contact with law enforcement. They will keep us posted as new information becomes available and we will share that information with our community as we receive it.
